Three Women Walk Into A Stable: An Event with Karen Nelson, Pam Houston and Sam Dunn
Karen Nelson, author of the novel The Last Summer at Feather River, Pam Houston, author of the forthcoming collection Animals Taught Me Everything, and Samantha Dunn, author of the memoir Not By Accident will give a horse-themed reading, and then be in conversation about writing, riding and the power of women on Thursday, August 27th at 6:30pm, at Boulder Bookstore. Karen Nelson and Pam Houston are the co-founders of the literary nonprofit Writing By Writers and Samantha Dunn is a member of the faculty. All three women are committed to helping writers bring their voices into the world

What really happened that night?

About Karen Nelson:
Karen Nelson is the author of the novels The Last Summer at Feather River and The Sunken Town. She is also the co-founder of the nonprofit Writing By Writers where she hosts writing workshops taught by nationally-known, award-winning authors. Her travel writing has appeared in Coast Magazine, Premium, The Orange County Register, and various other publications nationwide. She holds a degree in creative writing from Colby College and has taught writing at the local high school. When not organizing writing workshops, she can be found hiking with her dog, reading, traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, and hosting dinner parties. She lives in the Silicon Valley.
