Sibylline Press Featured in Publisher’s Weekly Women-Run Publishing Issue

(Grass Valley, CA) — Sibylline Press has been featured in Publisher’s Weekly, in an interview with publisher Vicki DeArmon, who discussed finding the importance in starting a press that publishes specifically women over 50, as well as the exciting Spring 2024 season the press has been having.

Publisher’s Weekly is a “multimedia news platform with full horizontal coverage of book publishing beginning with the author-as-creator to publisher, printer, and distributor to the end consumer. Its varied products are targeted at publishers, booksellers, librarians, literary agents, authors, book lovers, and the media.” and reaches an audience of over 68,000 readers

“These are all stories that are beautifully told,” DeArmon said in the feature…. “…it seems that women readers and booksellers are very taken with our mission. They too are often ‘women of a certain age,’ and though our books are written for all readers, they are especially appealing to this demographic. As older women, we have a natural affinity for other older women, their brilliance, and their stories.”

Sibylline’s publishing engine is powered by the ingenuity of shrewd wise women. Sibylline Press takes its name from the Sibylline Books, the ancient writings of wise older women, the Sibyls. Not one Sibyl alone, but many can alter history. Sibylline Press publishes the work of brilliant women over 50, exclusively. We are looking for work that is relevant and compelling in fiction, narrative nonfiction/memoir, romance, and business.
