Here, their life intertwined with a changing community, organic farming and the Bay Area’s burgeoning independent film scene.\nMurch’s writing weaves a rich tapestry around medicine, agriculture, rural life and creativity, all radiating from her family’s home on Gospel Flats in Bolinas, Northern California. Murch is a co-founder of KWMR community radio, and continues to produce ‘Letter from A. Broad’ biweekly for the station and on www.murielmurch.com.\n“This book is like its author: smart, funny, generous, and honest, a pure delight to read!” —Linda Ronstadt, artist, singer, musician and writer\n“Harvesting History while Farming the Flats is an invitation to sit down in Aggie’s farmhouse kitchen as shared memories of country life unfurl like petals from the old roses at the center of the wooden table.” —Eleanor Coppola, artist, writer and filmmaker\nAbout Muriel Murch:\nMuriel A. Murch was born and grew up England. In 1965 she married Walter Murch in New York City and they motorcycled to Los Angeles, California, relocating to The Bay Area in 1969 where Murch began working as a nurse-midwife in the rural medical practice in Point Reyes Station serving Marin and Sonoma Counties. Beginning her radio work in the 1980’s at KPFA-FM’s Drama and Literature Department, Murch then brought her radio experience to KWMR, helping develop a platform for local voices and cultural programs. Highlights have included interviews with prominent figures like Sir David Attenborough, whom she hosted at both KPFA and West Marin Community Radio, with his 1994 book on ‘The Private Life of Plants’. She continues to biweekly produce A Letter From A Broad for KWMR.org and her website murielmurch.com. She lives with her husband in Northern California and London.\n
